Keeping Fit

Physical fitness is important in living a healthy lifestyle. Exercising and eating healthy food are some of the first steps needed to become a healthy person. Exercising on a regular basis is a great way to improve your health and fitness level. You don’t have to pay hundreds of dollars in gym equipment or memberships if you just utilize the stuff around you. I use the American River Trail system for both running and biking. Not only do I use it to ride into work everyday I also use the trail at least 5 days a week during my workouts.. You do not have to workout like a professional athlete in order to get into better shape. Those of you who do not have a workout plan start with doing something you enjoy. If you like riding bikes, take your bike out on the trail for a 15 minute ride. If you need to fix your bike before you can ride it bring it on over to our Bike Shop, they will be glad to help you out. If you want to start an exercise plan and are not too sure what type to do, look them up. Obviously you have access to the internet or you would not be reading this. There are thousands of workouts online that you can find to meet your needs. Do not feel like you have to do the exact workout that you find. Add different activities that you want to improve on or ones that you enjoy. Instead of swimming, try running or substitute bench press weights for pushups. The main point is that you are stepping up taking initiative and pushing yourself, towards a better, healthier lifestyle.
